Description
Colour and conductivity specs in refined starch sugars are tight. Meeting them consistently depends on how well ionic ash is removed from the hydrolysate, and that is where technology selection directly shapes starch sugar desalination plant cost over time.
Electrodialysis does not approximate this separation. It drives cations and anions out of the product stream through charged membranes using direct current, leaving glucose, fructose, xylose, xylitol, or soybean saccharide streams at target conductivity without batch interruption or chemical input. The process is inherently continuous and scales predictably with feed volume and ionic load.
Laxminarayan Technologies, in operation since 1986 and ISO 9001 certified, manufactures turnkey ED and Bipolar Electrodialysis systems for starch sugar and saccharide demineralization. Plants are modular, fully automated through touch-panel controls, and commissioned with hands-on operator training at the customer site. Pilot scale units are available for process development ahead of commercial scale investment.
