The Knaack 70267 Chest Dampening Spring 4830-D is a replacement component designed for compatible Knaack storage chests. The spring supports the chest’s lid mechanism by helping control its movement during opening and closing. It works as part of the lid assembly to assist with smoother operation and reduce uncontrolled movement. Replacing a worn or damaged spring can help restore the intended lid function when the spring is the cause of the problem.
