Description
A Data Entry Operator is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data in computer systems and databases. They ensure that information is complete, organized, and confidential while meeting productivity and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Enter data accurately into databases, spreadsheets, and software systems.
Verify and correct data for errors and inconsistencies.
Update and maintain records in a timely manner.
Review documents for completeness before data entry.
Organize and file physical and electronic documents.
Generate reports as required by management.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Perform regular data backups and ensure data security.
Coordinate with other departments to obtain missing or corrected information.
Meet daily, weekly, and monthly data entry targets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree is an advantage).
Proven experience as a Data Entry Operator or similar role.
Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and data management software.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic knowledge of office procedures and record keeping.
Good communication and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
