Description
The Whirlpool 12002041 Evaporator transfers heat from the refrigerator compartment to support proper cooling operation. This evaporator is a heat-exchange component containing refrigerant passages that absorb heat from the surrounding air as refrigerant moves through the coil. As the refrigerant changes state, heat is removed from the compartment, allowing the cooling system to maintain the required temperature. Proper operation supports consistent cooling and helps maintain suitable storage conditions for food. Replacing a damaged, leaking, or restricted evaporator can address inadequate cooling, excessive frost, or refrigerant-related issues caused by coil damage. This replacement part is designed for compatible Whirlpool refrigerator models and serves as a replacement for an existing evaporator affected by corrosion, physical damage, leakage, or other system-related problems.
