The Whirlpool W10816105 Moisture Sensor detects moisture levels in clothes to support accurate dryer cycle control. This replacement sensor monitors the moisture content of garments as they tumble and sends signals to the dryer control system. The control uses this information to adjust the drying cycle and determine when the load has reached the selected dryness level. Accurate moisture detection can reduce unnecessary drying time and prevent clothes from remaining damp or receiving excessive heat. A faulty sensor may cause extended cycles, incomplete drying, or incorrect automatic cycle performance. Replacing the sensor can restore proper moisture detection and drying control. Designed for compatible Whirlpool dryer models, this part provides a practical replacement for a worn or defective moisture sensor.
