The Whirlpool W10836496 Agitator moves clothes through the wash water to support effective cleaning during washer cycles. This replacement agitator is installed in the washer tub and uses its fins or vanes to create a back-and-forth motion as the wash system rotates it. The movement circulates water and detergent through the load while loosening dirt and soil from fabrics. A worn or damaged agitator may cause reduced washing performance, unusual movement, or difficulty moving clothes properly through the water. Replacing the agitator can restore proper clothes movement and support consistent washing results. Designed for compatible Whirlpool washing machine models, this part provides a practical replacement for a damaged or worn agitator.
