Description
The Whirlpool WP12555902 Start Device Relay & Overload provides starting and overload protection for the refrigerator compressor. This replacement component connects to the compressor terminals and manages the electrical current needed to start the compressor, while the overload section interrupts power if excessive current or temperature is detected. Proper relay function supports reliable compressor starting and consistent cooling performance. A faulty start device may cause clicking sounds, compressor startup failure, intermittent cooling, or repeated cycling. Replacing a worn or damaged unit can restore proper compressor starting and electrical protection. Designed for compatible Whirlpool refrigerators, this replacement part provides a practical solution for maintaining dependable compressor function and consistent cooling.
