The Whirlpool WP3390719 Dryer Thermal Fuse provides essential temperature protection by cutting electrical power when the dryer becomes excessively hot. This safety component is installed in the dryer’s electrical circuit and is designed to open the circuit when a preset temperature threshold is reached, stopping power to the protected components. A blown fuse may cause the dryer to stop running or prevent the heating system from producing heat, depending on the model. Replacing a damaged fuse can restore the electrical connection and proper dryer function when the fuse is the cause of the problem. Designed for compatible Whirlpool dryer models, this replacement part provides a practical solution for restoring temperature protection and maintaining dependable dryer performance.
