Description
The Whirlpool WP3977767 High-Limit Thermostat regulates dryer temperature by interrupting the heating circuit when temperatures reach a specified limit. This temperature-sensitive component monitors heat near the dryer’s heating system and opens the electrical circuit when excessive temperature is detected. As the temperature returns to a suitable range, the thermostat can restore the circuit, depending on the model and thermostat design. A faulty thermostat may cause overheating, insufficient heating, extended drying times, or inconsistent temperature control. Replacing a defective thermostat can restore proper heat regulation and support consistent drying performance. Designed for compatible Whirlpool dryer models, this replacement part provides a practical solution for maintaining appropriate temperature control and protecting the dryer’s heating system from excessive heat.
