Whirlpool WP61001846 Refrigerator Defrost Heater Assembly

The Whirlpool WP61001846 Refrigerator Defrost Heater Assembly removes ice buildup around the evaporator to maintain proper airflow and temperature balance. This replacement heater uses electrical heat during the defrost cycle to clear accumulated ice from the evaporator area. Regular defrosting keeps air passages clear and supports consistent refrigerator performance. It is suitable for replacing a damaged, worn, or non-functioning heater assembly in compatible refrigerator models. A properly functioning heater maintains the normal defrost cycle and prevents excessive ice from interfering with the evaporator. Verify the refrigerator model and part number to ensure proper fit and compatibility.
