Description
The Whirlpool WPW10196393 Air Damper Control Assembly regulates cold-air flow between refrigerator compartments to support consistent temperature control. This 120V replacement assembly uses an electrically controlled damper to open or close the air passage according to signals from the refrigerator control system. By adjusting the amount of cold air entering the designated compartment, it supports balanced cooling between the fresh-food and freezer sections. A faulty damper assembly may cause uneven temperatures, excessive cooling, or insufficient airflow. Replacing a worn or damaged assembly can restore proper air distribution and temperature regulation. Designed for compatible Whirlpool refrigerators, this replacement component provides a practical solution for maintaining controlled airflow and consistent cooling performance between compartments.
