Description
The Whirlpool WPW10730972 drain pump helps remove wastewater from a compatible washer for proper cycle operation. Installed within the washer’s drainage system, this pump moves used water from the tub through the drain hose and out of the appliance during the drain portion of the cycle. Effective water removal helps prevent standing water and allows the washer to proceed to the next stage of operation. Replacing a worn, clogged, damaged, or malfunctioning pump can help restore normal draining when the washer drains slowly, leaves water in the tub, or fails to drain. This replacement component is designed for select washer models and should be checked for compatibility before installation. Proper installation helps support reliable drainage and consistent washer performance during everyday use.
